My first wedding of 2022! In my almost 20 years as a wedding photographer, I thought I had seen it all - but it turns out, I had never actually shot a wedding without a bride and groom until this past weekend! Unfortunately, Michelle and Chris got sick just a couple days before the wedding and had to stay home. Instead of cancelling or postponing, however, they decided to use technology for good and Zoom into their wedding from home! It was incredible the way they pulled it off and it was almost like they were actually there! What struck me as the most amazing thing is that their friends and family were there together having fun because of them rather than “without” them. That seems like what a wedding is truly about anyway - bringing together all the people you love to celebrate your new lives together, and I would have to say in that case, Michelle and Chris had an amazing and very successful wedding day.
